I’d like to know what happened to the Aussie who used to post the Sesame Street pictures every day. I think it was pip bip or something like that maybe. I know most were pretty tasteless, but he was a regular on here who posted other things too.

Yeah. It’s been so long that the names have faded. Battery Tender always had a good read imo. I think he is still around, but just doesn’t post much anymore. I always thought for him to own an SLS he seemed like such a nice, regular guy.

You’re right of course. But it’s also one of the reasons I decided to start posting recently, aside from having more free time now that my kids are a little older. I saw lots of the regulars who seemed to post a lot of excellent advice and articles start to disappear, and I wanted to try to contribute to a community that has entertained me and taught me a lot about cars over the years.

I’ve been here a few years now I think and seen many come and go with many good and bad changes to the format of posting and content posted.

I still like the relaxed atmosphere around here of ‘were car people’ but open to other things.

FYI. I know the guy who owned that white TVR. He runs a detailing business down in Gillingham, Kent. He’s a good bloke and his wife is a very nice lady and a really good laugh to be around on a night out in the pub.

For what it’s worth I do like Oppo the way it is. Many of the posts we get are still absolute gold. The kind of posts you can’t get anywhere else on the internet, from true car enthusiasts.

You can tell from how much attention James May’s Car of the People gets. It’s an old man talking about history with a skew towards cars! Try posting about that on your average Facebook car group.
